Born and raised in Australia, I spent many years living round the world and have experience of many different education systems, as an educator, a teacher and a parent. All my life I have been actively involved in the communities I've lived in,   Since coming to the US, I have been very politically active, working for equal rights and civic justice in all areas, including education, civil rights, the justice system, race relations and LGBTQ rights.

Writer of numerous episodes for television, and drafts of films and telemovies.
Created or co-created 7 series for Australian television
Ran writing departments of up to 20 people
Responsible for overall script production on 12 series, from limited mini-series of 13 hours to five nights per week soap operas/serials
